Personalization

The Personalization section controls Global Memory — a feature that learns from your conversations to give you more relevant, context-aware responses over time.

Global Memory​

When Global Memory is enabled, Kognar runs a daily background analysis of your recent conversations. It extracts useful context such as:

  • What you're currently working on
  • Your professional role and projects
  • Your goals and priorities
  • How you prefer to communicate

This memory is then silently included as background context in conversations in the All folder, so the AI always has relevant information about you without you having to repeat yourself.

Enabling​

Toggle Global Memory on. The first extraction will run within the day.

Viewing the analysis​

Click View last analysis to see what Kognar has extracted from your conversations. This gives you full transparency into what the AI knows about you.

Refreshing manually​

Click Refresh to trigger a new extraction immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled daily run.

Disabling​

Toggle Global Memory off. No new extractions will occur. Existing memory is not used while the feature is disabled.

Privacy note​

Global Memory data is:

  • Stored locally on your device
  • Tied to your account (other users cannot see it)
  • Never sent to third parties
